ADU & POOL HOUSE IN MALIBU

This 450 sq ft custom pool house in Malibu is a compact, high-end ADU designed for seamless indoor–outdoor living and full fire resilience. Minimal in form and materials, it opens with full-height pocket doors to a private spa area, sauna, and an ocean-view roof deck.

Inspired by the Case Study Houses, the façade uses fire-rated large-format porcelain and quartz panels, with sleek Schüco/Alutec glazing systems for light and transparency. The structure is built with light-gauge steel and fully non-combustible finishes as part of Malibu’s post-wildfire rebuilding standards.

A flat roof with internal drainage and rainwater harvesting supports LID sustainability goals, creating a refined, durable, and environmentally conscious coastal retreat.
