This cultural-educational design cluster establishes a vibrant creative hub in the heart of Yerevan. The 1,227-square-meter complex brings together arts, crafts, architecture, design, and fashion within a single dynamic environment that encourages collaboration between local and international artists. Conceived as a catalyst for the creative economy, the cluster supports interdisciplinary work and cultivates a strong exchange between emerging and established creators.

The program includes art showrooms and flexible exhibition spaces for presenting contemporary works, along with a library that offers research and educational resources. A multifunctional platform hosts lectures, workshops, presentations, and community events, allowing the building to operate as an active cultural venue. Dedicated arts and crafts workshops provide hands-on spaces for making and experimentation, while the café creates an informal setting for meetings, networking, and everyday creative interaction. Studios and offices accommodate firms and independent professionals working across the broader design and innovation ecosystem.

Residential units occupy the upper two floors, creating live-work opportunities for creative practitioners and fostering a 24-hour community. This mixed-use approach strengthens the connection between production, learning, and living, turning the building into a continuous source of cultural activity. The project unites individuals, organizations, and companies from Armenia and abroad, bringing diverse perspectives that enrich the cluster’s collaborative environment.

Spaces within the complex can be offered through ownership or rental models, ensuring flexibility for residents with different financial capacities and goals. This adaptable framework supports long-term community stability and sustainable cultural development.

Functional analysis situates the design cluster within Yerevan’s wider cultural infrastructure. The site is strategically placed near educational institutions, residential neighborhoods, and public facilities, creating natural synergies with surrounding cultural and academic programs. The circulation analysis highlights well-integrated pedestrian and vehicular access, reinforcing the building’s connectivity to the broader urban fabric while positioning it as a new cultural destination.

Architecturally, the project employs contemporary geometric forms with carefully positioned openings that frame interior activity. Light-colored façade materials create a sense of visual clarity and modern refinement, while the building’s scale responds sensitively to its urban context. At night, warm interior lighting transforms the structure into an inviting cultural beacon, signaling activity and drawing the community toward an active, creative gathering place.
