Located in the scenic Jrvezh valley of Armenia’s Kotayk region, this 15-hectare resort master plan merges hospitality, sports, and wellness facilities within a landscape-driven architectural concept. Surrounded by pristine natural terrain, the development creates a refined destination for relaxation, recreation, and tourism while maintaining full respect for the existing environment.
Positioned along Armenia’s rich cultural and natural heritage corridor, the resort benefits from proximity to major historical landmarks, recreational areas, and regional transportation routes. Comprehensive site analysis examined demographic trends, land-use patterns, and urban development influences, ensuring that the master plan responds strategically to both local context and visitor flow. The valley setting offers a balance between accessibility and secluded natural tranquility.
The design adopts organic planning principles aligned with the natural topography, vegetation patterns, and terrain features of Jrvezh. Curved pedestrian pathways, terraced platforms, and soft transitions between built and natural zones create an immersive spatial experience. Each structure is positioned to capture panoramic views while minimizing site disturbance and reducing the resort’s environmental footprint.
The landscape strategy emphasizes ecological restoration, biodiversity, and sustainable outdoor design. Extensive tree planting, native vegetation, and rehabilitated green corridors enhance the valley’s natural ecosystems. Outdoor programming ranges from quiet garden retreats to large recreational fields, while integrated water features and sustainable drainage systems support long-term environmental resilience.
The resort includes boutique hotel accommodations, spa and wellness centers, sports facilities, and a variety of recreational zones. Building clusters are arranged to maximize privacy, comfort, and connection to nature, while maintaining operational efficiency for staff and service functions. Views, solar access, and topographic relationships inform the placement of every structure within the master plan.
Sustainability principles guide the overall project vision. Low-impact site placement, native plant restoration, and water-efficient landscape systems reduce environmental disruption. Building orientation optimizes natural daylighting and ventilation, while preserving sensitive ecological areas of the Jrvezh valley. The resort’s long-term sustainability is reinforced through smart resource use and climate-responsive design strategies.
