Construction of the North Axis: Park Reconstruction & Multifunctional Center began some time ago, and today the site is actively transforming into one of the most ambitious architectural projects currently underway in Yerevan.

The project introduces Armenia’s first large-scale parametric dome — a pioneering structure that is now visibly emerging on site. What began as a conceptual vision grounded in advanced computational design is now becoming physical reality through coordinated engineering, fabrication, and construction processes. A Dome in the Making

The parametric dome, conceived as the symbolic and spatial heart of the multifunctional center, is currently in active development. Its complex geometry — defined through algorithmic design and automated modeling systems — requires high-precision structural coordination and carefully staged assembly.

Unlike conventional dome construction, this structure relies on digitally generated curvature and optimized load distribution, resulting in a fluid, continuous shell form. As the structural framework advances, the spatial impact of the dome is already perceptible, signaling a new architectural language within the Armenian urban landscape.

From Vision to Built Form

Located in the Arabkir district along Komitas Avenue, the project reimagines the former commercial site as a vibrant public hub integrated with a reconstructed park. The development combines green public space with a multifunctional center that will accommodate retail, cultural, entertainment, and community uses beneath the expressive dome structure.

Construction progress reflects not only technical ambition but also a broader shift toward innovative building methodologies in Armenia. The implementation of parametric design at this scale marks an important milestone for local architecture and engineering practices.

Shaping a Future Landmark

As works continue, the North Axis project is steadily redefining its surroundings. The dome’s rising structure is set to become a defining landmark, both visually and symbolically, representing a dialogue between advanced digital design and Yerevan’s evolving urban identity.

With construction ongoing, the project stands as a testament to the potential of contemporary Armenian architecture: bold in vision, precise in execution, and forward-looking in its technological integration.

More updates will follow as Armenia’s first parametric dome continues to take shape.
